Marketing Specialist / PA to Sales Team

Division: Sales Department

Location: 17 Waikato Street, Taupō

Hours:
• Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 3:00pm

About the Role

This is a dynamic dual-role position combining Dealership marketing leadership with personal assistant support to the Sales Team.
You will be responsible for shaping our online presence, enhancing our in-showroom experience, and ensuring professional, consistent, and high-quality messaging aligned with our franchise partners’ standards.

At the same time, you will provide vital administrative and operational support to the Sales Team — ensuring seamless customer experiences from enquiry to vehicle handover.

This role plays a key part in keeping Morrell Motors front-of-mind as Taupō’s Dealership of choice.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Brand Leadership
  • Develop and submit quarterly marketing plans aligned with franchise partner obligations
  • Create high-quality digital content for social media and the Morrell Motors website
  • Manage and optimise vehicle listings via AutoPlay and Dealership platforms
  • Photography and videography of vehicles, events, and customer deliveries
  • Produce monthly EDM campaigns (content creation through to final sign-off)
  • Monitor marketing analytics and report on ROI and campaign performance
  • Liaise with franchise marketing representatives to maximise value from marketing spend
  • Maintain strict brand consistency across all channels
  • Coordinate in-showroom activations and off-site promotional events
  • Work alongside Department Heads to plan and execute promotional campaigns
  • Identify new marketing opportunities to increase enquiries and showroom traffic
  • Manage online reputation including review monitoring and response coordination
Personal Assistant to Sales Team
  • Provide administrative support to Sales Consultants
  • Assist with customer enquiries and booking test drives
  • Coordinate pre-sale reconditioning, including valet schedules and service liaison
  • Track vehicle arrival schedules and ensure marketing readiness
  • Prepare vehicle handover packs and customer follow-up systems
  • Assist with event planning, vehicle launches, and promotional evening (including occasional after-hours support)
  • Support CRM data accuracy and customer database management
  • Assist with finance documentation preparation and processing support
General
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive Team culture
  • Be courteous and professional to all customers and staff
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Management

  • Proven marketing experience (automotive advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong content creation skills (photography, video, social media, EDMs)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and outstanding organisational ability
  • Confidence managing multiple platforms and systems
  • A proactive, creative, can-do attitude
  • Professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Dealership environment
