Our famous Ambrose Golf Tournament is for customers, partners and friends of Morrell Motors. This exciting event is set to take place at the Kinloch Village Golf Club, Lake Taupo. Morrell Motors Kinloch Golf Classic – Terms and Conditions of Entry

1. Event Details

  • Event Name: Morrell Motors Kinloch Golf Classic

  • Date: 8 May 2026

  • Time: Arrival: 9:15 AM, Briefing: 9:45 AM, Tee Off: 10:00 AM, Estimated Round Wrap-Up: 3:00 PM

  • Venue: Kinloch Village Golf Club

  • Organiser: Morrell Motors

2. Entry Fee & Team Requirements

  • Entry fee is $250 per team of 4 participants.

  • Entry fee is $500 per hole sponsor and includes entry of 4 participants. An additional $250 worth of prizes is to be provided in advance of the event.

  • You can only enter this event as a team (maximum 4 players per team).

  • When you register, you must provide your golf handicap if you have one.

  • Entry fees must be paid in full before the event date to confirm participation.

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations after 1 May 2026.

  • Refreshments will be provided throughout the event.

  • Food will be provided at the prize giving, please ensure any dietary requirements are advised prior.

3. Participation Eligibility

  • Participation is open to customers, friends and suppliers of Morrell Motors.

  • Participants must be 18 years or older.

  • All participants must register in advance online at https://morrellmotors.co.nz/morrell-motors-kinloch-golf-classic-2026 by 1 May 2026.

  • This event is limited to a maximum of 80 participants total, 20 teams. Entry is determined by date of entry and payment being received.

  • Participation is not open to professionals or semi-professional golfers.

4. Registration & Attendance

  • A confirmation email will be sent upon successful registration including account details for entry payment. Entry is not confirmed until payment has been received.

  • Any cancellation must be communicated at least 7 days before the event.

  • The organiser reserves the right to decline or cancel registrations due to unforeseen circumstances.

5. Format & Rules – Ambrose Golf Tournament (NZ)

  • This event follows the Ambrose format, a team-based competition designed to make the game enjoyable for all skill levels.

  • Team Play: All four players tee off on each hole. The team then selects the best shot and all players take their next shot from that position. This continues until the ball is holed.

  • Minimum Tee Shots: Each team member must contribute at least three tee shots during the round.

  • Handicap Adjustments: The team handicap is calculated by adding all four players’ individual handicaps and dividing the total by eight.

  • Score Recording: The team’s gross score is recorded, and the final net score is determined by subtracting the adjusted handicap.

  • Pace of Play: Teams must maintain a good pace of play and keep up with the group in front of them.

  • Etiquette & Fair Play: Standard golf etiquette applies, and any disputes will be resolved by the event organiser.

6. Code of Conduct

  • Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner at all times.

  • Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour will result in immediate disqualification and removal from the event.

7. Dress Code & Equipment

  • Golf attire is required in accordance with Kinloch Village Golf Club’s dress code.

  • Participants must bring their own golf clubs, unless prior arrangements have been made.

  • Appropriate Sporting footwear must be worn.

8. Liability & Safety

  • Participants acknowledge that they are engaging in the event at their own risk.

  • Morrell Motors and Kinloch Village Golf Club are not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during the event.

  • Participants are encouraged to follow all safety guidelines provided by the club and event organisers.

9. Weather & Event Modifications

  • In case of inclement weather, Morrell Motors reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the event.  The rain date would be 15 May 2026.

  • Participants will be informed of any changes via email or phone.

  • No refunds or compensation will be provided in the event of cancellation due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

10. Photography & Media Release

  • By participating, attendees grant Morrell Motors permission to capture photos and videos during the event.

  • These images may be used for promotional and marketing purposes on social media, websites, and printed materials.

  • If a participant does not wish to be photographed, they must notify the organiser in advance.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for event management purposes.

  • Morrell Motors will not share participant details with third parties without consent.

12. Prizes & Giveaways

  • Hole in one challenge. All participants will get one attempt only at the hole in one challenge where they can WIN a NEW KGM Torres Hybrid valued at over $49,990.  In the event that there is more than one hole in one scored a closest to the pin challenge will take place on the same hole, between the hole in one scoring participants. The participant who is closest to the pin will then be deemed the winner. The vehicle on display is not the prize.

  • Any prizes or giveaways distributed during the event are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • The organiser’s decision on competition results is final.
